Licensees who fail to drug test their employees as required by State Law is an indication their drivers and vehicle storage facility employees are actually using controlled substances, that could put the public’s safety in jeopardy. A tow company’s worst nightmare is one of their tow truck operators causing the death of other motorists because of being under the influence of drugs and/or controlled substances, when behind the wheel of their tow truck.

smoking pot

We know, based on incident reports, some vehicle storage facility employees are smoking marijuana or snorting cocaine while working, as some vehicle owners or operators have caught them in the act. With TDLR continuing to issue low dollar fines are failing to drug test employees, there is simply no deterrent to follow this requirement mandated by State Law by some.

The public knows what to look for when they are conducting business with tow companies, booting companies and vehicle storage facilities, as they have gained a valuable education about their rights on this website, to which they are documenting everything necessary to take legal action and file complaints with TDLR.

Just in the case with predatory tow truck operators bickering about being jumped in parking lot in the early morning hours at apartment complexes, blaming this website continued reporting of the illegal tactics at stealing vehicles, and yes we mean stealing, as apartment dwellers know if that tow sign is legal or not, or not within 25′ of the street, probable cause does exist to tow any vehicle, or in the case of unauthorized drop fee, the public is ready to protect their vehicle from the thieves working for the many dishonest tow companies across Texas.
